285s are a more noticeable difference than I expected
I just put 285s on my 2026 TRD Offroad Premium auto that came with 265s. I previous had 285s on my 2nd gen 6-speed and I could feel a difference but it was a good difference, in that the 6-speed has taller gears so taller tires compensated for it to even it out a little; tame the RPMs on the highway. 285s on the 2026 reminds me of putting 265s on my 2003 4-banger that came with 225s.
