4wd on dry pavement

Didn’t know i shouldn’t drive on dry pavement in 4wd. Just got the truck and was simply going around the block and heard the dreaded skipping. I know i know don’t kill me Im learning. It was only for less then a half mile and i went back to 2wd and everything seemed fine. Im assuming My truck is built strong enough to overcome that minor mishap.
