What adhesive would you recommend?

I have a 2022 Tacoma and in the very back of the sides near the bottom, there are black plastic trim pieces. I noticed they are starting to come loose and lift up. I am concerned water and dirt will accumulate under the trim pieces and eventually cause rust in those locations. Can anyone recommend an adhesive to use to re-secure the trim pieces back down that wont cause issues with the paint underneath?
