07 Tacoma TRD E-locker

I think the pinion bearing is going out of my rear gear, but I cannot find anybody in Iowa that will rebuild it. I do not even drive on gravel, is there any way to remove the internal E-locker parts while I have it apart? One less thing that can go wrong or cost money.
