Is it ok to hit the redline?

So sometimes on the freeway I need to switch lanes and I have to gun it to get that acceleration going (kinda reminds me of a two stroke where you have to really ring it out and theres the power band at the higher rpm) but anyway it always seems to hit near 6k before it shifts which kinda scares me so just wondering if that’s bad for the motor.

I’m not pegging it all the time and just when I need to like if I have to merge into a freeway etc
