Is your truck cap a 200 lb. ball and chain?
I am just wondering who feels this way.
I want to use my truck for a variety purposes: hauling gravel, building materials, and dirt bikes.
But then I needed covered storage—and I felt trapped with this fiberglass topper.
At 200+ pounds, rigid caps are nearly permanent. Taking one off requires two neighbours, a six-pack bribe, or a garage hoist. Worse, once it’s on, my open-bed pickup basically turns into an oversized SUV.
I shouldn’t have to sacrifice my truck box just to keep my gear…
