Manual vs Auto

Ok taco fans. My 2nd Gen is now 17 years old and I’m in the hunt for a 4th gen. I loved my 86 4 cyl 4×4 with a manual and I’m thinking about getting a sport or off road with a manual. If anyone has one, I’d love to hear about what you like and dislike.
