PSA: Lazy retracting Seat Belt.
The other day I noticed my front passenger seat belt wasn’t retracting like normal.
Pulled the rear door panel on my Access Cab, and removed the belt to get a better idea of what my issue was.
The mechanism on the left is where the retracting spring resides, the right side provides the catch mechanism.
When the seat belt locks in place, that’s under the plastic cover on the right.
I was surprised how easy the retracting component simply slid off the main body….
